Jupiter and Ganymede (DSLR) - 20 oct 2011

Image of Jupiter, the Great Red Spot and Ganymede (right). Time and Location: Rehovot city, Israel. Seeing 6.5/10, 20 october 2011, ~23:05 (UTC+2). Telescope: Orion Skyview pro 200mm F/5 Newtonian. Televue 2.5x powermate combined with GSO 2X barlow, in prime focus. Camera: Canon EOS 500d DSLR. Manual mode, ISO1600, exposures 1/30. Videos aquired by EOS movie rec software. Processing: Matlab, Registax and Photoshop. Stack of ~2600 frames (out of 2.5 minute movie). A hint of surface detail can be noticed on Ganymede as well.
