M2 is a quite spectacular, rich, bright globular cluster. It compsed of hundreds tiny stars. The cluster is quite symmetrical and doesn't show any notable features. I has a relatively bright core, in which it's quite difficult to resolve individual stars. There is a faint chain of stars going from the M2's NW edge
